Hardscrabble Campground

    Hardscrabble Campground is one of five campgrounds that lie along the Middle Fork of the Payette River, north of Garden Valley, Idaho. The campground has six sites, all of which can accommodate recreational vehicles up to 30 feet long.

Prices:
    $12 per night
    $5 per extra vehicle
    $6 for day use

Reservations: First come, first served. No Trail Creek sites can be reserved. Groups can reserve nearby Rattlesnake Campground.

Directions: From Garden Valley, Idaho, drive 11 miles north on National Forest Road 698 to the campground. Click here for a map.

Amenities: Vault toilets. No drinking water.

Open dates: May 16-Sept. 28, 2009, weather permitting.
