Swinging Bridge Campground
Swinging Bridge Campground was named for the small suspension bridge (removed in 1991) that was used for access to the railroad tracks across the river.
Swinging Bridge Campground is one of four campgrounds along Idaho State Road 55, next to the North Fork of the Payette River. The campground has 11 units.
Prices:
$15 per night
$5 per extra vehicle
$8 for day use
Reservations: Several sites can be reserved at www.recreation.gov.
Directions: From Boise, drive 39 miles north on Idaho State Road 55 to the campground. It is about four miles north of Banks, Idaho. Watch for recreation signs.
