Bristol Head Campground

Bristol Head Campground consists of 15 single sites. The campsites are located along one side of the single campground road which has a turn around at the far end of the campground. The sites sit at the base of a hill to the south with aspen and mixed conifer and look out over an open meadow to the north. The elevation is 9,500 ft. South Clear Creek is adjacent to this campground.

 

Prices:

    $23 per night

    $11 for day use

 

Reservations: Not available.

 

Directions: Bristol Head Campground is located in Hinsdale County approximately 23 miles west of Creede. It is accessed off of the Silver Thread Scenic Byway, Hwy 149, just 22.4 miles from Creede and then 2 miles along a well maintained gravel road, Forest Service Road 510, to the entrance of the campground. Amenities: Toilets, drinking water, trash bins.

 

Open dates: Friday before Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting.

 

Nearby: Fishing, boating, and hiking are available nearby.
