Conejos Campground is located along the Conejos River, less than half a mile up the road from Spectacle Lake.  It has 15 sites, six of which are by the river.

 

Prices:

$23.00 per night

$11.00 for day use, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.

 

Reservations: Not Available.

 

Directions: From Antonito, CO, take US 285 south 0.3 miles to Hwy 17. Continue straight on Hwy 17 and go 21.9 miles to Platoro sign (Forest Rd. 250). At sign, turn right onto Rd. 250 (dirt) and go 6.6 miles to campground sign. Turn left at sign into campground.

 

Amenities: Drinking water, garbage cans, vault toilets (one central restroom with two toilets on each side).

 

Open Dates: Friday before Memorial Day to Labor Day.

 

Nearby: There is fishing access to the Conejos River and Spectacle Lake.  Spectacle Lake Trail 730 begins 1/2 mile south on Forest Road 250. Ruybalid Trail 855 and Notch Trail 729 are also accessible.​
