Cross Creek Campground

Cross Creek Campground consists of two areas with their own entrance from Forest Service Road 360. The first area includes three sites and access to Cross Creek Trail. The second area includes eleven sites, the entrance sign and fee station. A foot bridge connects these two areas. The elevation of is 8,840 ft.  The campground is located on the edge of a spruce/fir forested area, with the campground located in the trees.

Directions: Cross Creek campground is located in Rio Grande County approximately 15 miles south of South Fork, Colorado. One mile south of South Fork on Hwy 160 is Forest Service Road 360. Take Forest Service road 360 approximately 9 miles to the campground entrance. See map below.

 

Amenities: Toilets, drinking water, garbage service.

 

Open dates: Friday before Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting.

 

Nearby: Fishing, boating, and hiking are available nearby. There is an ATV trail at the campground allowing a base for additional outdoor activities. The biggest tree on the Rio Grande National Forest is a short hike away. Beaver Creek Reservoir is within walking distance.
