Kit Price Campground

Kit Price Campground is located adjacent to the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River, with river access trails from the campground.  It is located approximately 66 miles northeast of the city of Coeur d’Alene, ID.  The campground includes 3 campground loops with 58 campsites.  The elevation is 2,550 feet.  Campsites are in a wooded area, though in 2018 & 2019 significant tree removal occurred - many large grand fir trees were diseased and dying, and needed to be removed for safety reasons. The campground was newly renovated in 2021.

 

Prices:

    $24 for single site

    $48 for double site

    $10 per extra vehicle

    $8 for day use

    $52 day use season pass

 

Reservations: Available thru recreation.gov. Reservations can be made 6 months prior to the first day of your camping stay.

Directions: From Coeur d’Alene, travel east on Interstate 90 to the Kingston Exit #43. Follow the paved Forest Service Road #9 north for 26 miles, then continue 11 miles north of the small town of Prichard on Forest Road #208. The campground will be on the right.  See map below.

 

Open Dates: Opens a week before Memorial Day weekend (on Friday), closes the last Monday in September at noon. For the most up-to-date season dates, please visit recreation.gov.

 

Amenities: Drinking water, vault toilets, trash collection.  Roads and parking spurs are paved.

 

Nearby: Fishing, tubing, swimming and kayaking on the North Fork Coeur d'Alene River are popular summertime activities. Rafters like to head downstream for the class I-III rapids. The Shoshone RV dump station is three miles away. Fern, Shadow and Centennial Falls can be hiked to.
