Panguitch Lake North Campground
Stage 1 fire restrictions are now in effect. Fires are allowed in this campground, but are prohibited in most of Dixie National Forest. The news and events section of the Forest Service website will usually provide updates for current fire restrictions.
Located one-half mile from the fishing and boating destination of Panguitch Lake, the Panguitch Lake North Campground is at 8,600 feet in elevation, and normally operates from Memorial Day through Labor Day. A paved loop road accesses 39 single units, eight double units, and three group camping areas. Two of the group sites can accommodate up to 35 people, the other up to 100. Each site has a table and fire ring.

Directions: From Panguitch, Utah, take Utah Highway 143 16 miles southwest to the campground. See map below.
Amenities: Flush toilets, drinking water, garbage service, an amphitheater and, a half-mile away, an RV dump station.
Open Dates: Memorial weekend to approximately the end of September, weather permitting.
Nearby: Besides fishing and boating, the area offers excellent hiking and biking opportunities and ATV trails outside the campground (no ATV use is allowed in the campground). The Panguitch Lake community offers lodging, groceries, gasoline, and other commercial services.
