Pine Valley Recreation Area Campgrounds
Stage 1 fire restrictions are now in effect. Fires are allowed in this campground, but are prohibited in most of Dixie National Forest. The news and events section of the Forest Service website will usually provide updates for current fire restrictions.
At 6,500 feet elevation, Pine Valley Recreation Area offers a welcome respite from the summer heat of Las Vegas, Nev., and St. George, Utah. Large groups can reserve one of Pine Valley's group areas. Horsemen can find a haven at the Pine Valley Equestrian Camp. And RV and tent campers can find plenty of single and double sites at Crackfoot, Ebenezar Bryce, Yellow Pine, Dean Gardner and Mitt Moody campgrounds. Pine Valley Amphitheater is also available for daytime or evening reservations. It seats up to 75. Speak to the campground manager on site for details.

Reservations: Ebenezar Bryce and Mitt Moody are first-come first serve. Crackfoot, Dean Gardner, Yellow Pine and the amphitheater can be reserved here.
Directions: From St. George, Utah, take Utah Highway 18 north to Central. Turn right on Forest Road 35 and follow that to Pine Valley. Turn left on Pine Valley's Main Street, which leads to Pine Valley Recreation Area after about three miles.
Open Dates: Approximately second week in May to end of September, weather permitting. After Labor Day, some sites will be opened only as needed by demand.
Amenities: Vault Toilets, drinking water, garbage service, an amphitheater and an RV dump station.
Nearby: Pine Valley Recreation Area features a variety of good horseback and hiking trails, as well as easy access to the reservoir.
