Palisade Campground

Palisade Campground consists of twelve sites, most of them in one large loop with a couple sites separated from the loop. The site sits on the edge of the Rio Grande River among cottonwoods and a few aspen and pine. A railroad traverses the campground with some use by individual rail cars traveling through periodically during the summer. The elevation is 8,300 ft.

$13 for day use
Reservations: Not available.
Directions: Palisade Colorado is located in Mineral County. It is about 10 miles from Creede, Colorado as well as South Fork, Colorado, immediately off of the Silver Thread Scenic Byway, Hwy 149. See map below.
Amenities: Toilets, drinking water, garbage service.
Open dates: Friday before Memorial Day to Labor Day, weather permitting.
