Due to recent fire behavior on the Deceitful fire, this dump station is currently closed.

 

As of July 12, Stage 2 fire restrictions are in effect. Campfires are prohibited on the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. Gas stoves with an on/off switch are still allowed. You can learn more by following this link.

 

We strive diligently to keep our facilities disinfected, but cannot guarantee they are 100% free of coronavirus. Please bring your own hand sanitizer, and if you are feeling ill, help protect other campers and our employees by staying home.

 

The Shoshone Rest Area and RV Dump Station is located approximately 63 miles from the city of Coeur d’Alene, ID.

 

Prices: $8 for RV dump station.

 

Directions: From Coeur d’Alene, travel east on Interstate 90 and take the Kingston Exit #43. Turn left and travel north following the paved Forest Service Road #9 for 17 miles to the small town of Prichard, then continue 5 miles on paved Forest Road #208. The Rest Area will be on the right.  See map below.

 

Open Dates: Opens a week before Memorial Day weekend (on Friday), closes the third Monday in September.

 

Amenities: Drinking water, vault toilet, dual bay RV dump station.  No garbage service - if you pack it in, please pack it out.

 

Nearby: Several campgrounds in the Coeur d’Alene River Complex are nearby.  The closest is Kit Price Campground, which is three miles away.
