Angel Creek Campground

Angel Creek Campground is located on the grassy foothill of the East Humboldt Mountain Range, just 8 miles southwest of Wells, Nevada, at an elevation of 6,200 feet. Mature aspens offer partial shade, and summer wildflowers dot the area. Beautiful Angel Lake is just four miles away, with canoeing, hiking, and rainbow and brook trout fishing. A campground host is onsite. Firewood is available for purchase. Roads and parking spurs are paved. A group site is available that can accommodate up to 30 people, 6 tents and 6 vehicles.

$7 per extra vehicle
$71 for group site
Reservations: Available at recreation.gov. Single and double sites can be reserved 6 months in advance of the first day of your stay. The group site can be reserved 1 year in advance.
Directions: Take I-80 to West Wells exit. Turn south on Angel Lake Rd (SR 231) and travel 8 miles to Angel Creek. Turnoff is on the left. Follow this road 1 mile. See map below.
Open Dates: Open from the second Friday in May until the fourth Monday in September.
Amenities: Vault toilets and drinking water. No garbage service is available - if you pack it in, please pack it out. Each campsite contains a picnic table and fire ring with grate. Most sites have tent pads.
Nearby: Canoeing at Angel Lake, fishing, hiking, horseback riding and birdwatching.
